INGREDIENTS
2 Pounds of ground chuck (85% lean)
10 pieces of American bread
Milk
5 cloves of garlic (chopped)
½ – ¾ Cup grated *Pecorino Romano or Parmesan Italian grated cheese
Oregano to taste
Salt and pepper to taste
2 Large eggs
½ cup of chopped Italian parsley
DIRECTIONS
1. Take meat and put it in a big bowl.
2. Take American bread and soak it in milk. Lightly squeeze the milk out and crumble the bread on the ground meat. Mix together with hands.
(I add the rest of the milk in the bowl to the meat mixture (approx. ¼ cup)
3. Crack two eggs in the bowl, beat with fork J. Mix throughout the meat.
4. Add rest of the ingredients.
5. Season to taste with salt & pepper.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Take meat mixture and form into a meatball. I use my hands. It’s an Italian thing. It makes it taste better! They will shrink a little when cooked. So don’t be shy about the size of the meatball.
Put on baking sheet and bake until medium rare.
Cook for 20 minutes (approximately.)
Put meatballs in your marinara sauce. They will continue to cook.
Delicious!!! Enjoy…… Make extra for a yummy meatball sandwich.
