Cooking from the Heart
I remember every Sunday morning, when growing up, waking to the smell of percolating coffee & garlic in olive oil cooking on the stove, as my mother started her spaghetti sauce before Mass. If we could, my brother, sister & I would sneak a piece of Italian bread or home-made freselle (Italian hard bread) and dunk it in the sauce (sugu) before we ran out of the house to go to church. Many of my most precious moments are connected with the smells of Italian cooking & the conversations that circled around the kitchen table.
“THE FUTURE IS THE PAST WITH THE LIGHTS TURNED ON”.
Because of this, I have created the “Counseling Kitchen”. It is here that I will share my thoughts, while giving you recipes to try and enjoy with those around YOUR kitchen table. It is my hope that you will take pleasure in creating culinary delights to share with loved ones, while making memories that will be celebrated for years to come! For an Italian, there is no better place than around the kitchen table! I love to choose memories from my past to recreate the feelings of love & togetherness…. I hope that you will too 🙂
